Open Fires: Open fires are prohibited. Firepits and outdoor fires must be covered with a screen while burning and still hot.
Fire Safety: Ensure all hot embers are fully extinguished before leaving the fire unattended.
Fire Bans: Be aware of fire conditions and state-imposed fire bans during dry seasons, as forest fires can spread quickly and endanger all residents.

General Safety Information
Trash Storage: All trash must be stored indoors or in a latched bear box. Trash left outside attracts bears, coyotes, foxes, rats, and other wildlife. Property owners are responsible for cleaning up any improperly stored trash scattered by wildlife on their property.
Trash in Common Areas: If trash receptacles are not provided in common areas, please take your trash with you when you leave.
Pets: Dogs must be leashed when on common property or roadways. All pets outdoors must be under control at all times and properly vaccinated in accordance with state laws. Pets that create a nuisance are not permitted.
Hiking Trails: CMA offers two hiking trails, which are not monitored. Before starting your hike, inform someone of your plan and your expected return time. For trail maps and additional hiking safety tips, click here.
Visibility: When outdoors, it is recommended to wear bright-colored clothing. CMA is adjacent to private property where hunting may occur. Bright clothing can also assist in rescue and recovery efforts if you are injured while hiking.
Walking at Night: CMA roadways do not have streetlights. When walking during dusk or after dark, carry a flashlight and wear reflective clothing. Keep in mind that the tree cover makes CMA darker earlier than open spaces.
